Introduction to Knitwear Lab and Virtual Knitting: Why accurate knit textures matter for 3D fashion.
Digitizing the Fabric: Scanning and photographing knitted swatches + creating fully digital textures in STOLL Create.
Creating and Editing Texture Maps: Building normal, displacement, and alpha maps, and tweaking your maps in Photoshop/GIMP.
Importing and Using Textures in 3D Fashion Software: Applying maps in Browzwear, CLO, and Style3D with physics adjustments for realistic drape.
Why This Content Matters
Lyske has been developing the Virtual Knitting department within Knitwear Lab for the past four years. She combines her extensive experience in 3D software for fashion and architecture to innovate the development and visualisation of knitwear.
Her role as lecturer at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, as well as researcher for the Fashion Research & Technology Group, makes her the perfect guide to lead you into the future of virtual knitwear.
